Jaanleva 555 starts rolling today..

Can anyday be more auspicious than today – 4th April as Ugadi clubbed with Gudi Padva and Cheti Chand is being celebrated all over? And what more auspicious date can a director and producer want to launch their maiden feature film? It was thus natural of director Sundeep Malani and producer & actress Kalpana Pandit to chose today to start shooting for their debut feature film - Jaanleva 555. Produced by “House of Pandit” this is Kalpana Pandit’s maiden feature film home production.

As the dream run of this producer and director duo continue with "Jo Jo Laali...a heartwrenching lullaby" - their first AIDS awareness film in Kannada, ‘Jaanleva 555’ starts rolling today at Bangalore and its scenic outskirts. A romantic mystery thriller, the film stars Kalpana Pandit and Akash Hora in pivotal roles. Sundeep is all set to introduce Bangalore based Abrar Zahoor - a Fashion Photographer as well as a model and iTimes Clean & Clear contest winner as the lead hero of this re-incarnation saga. Jammu and Kashmir born 22 year Abrar went to Madras Christian College and is debuting with this movie. Sundeep feels that Abrar has it in him what it makes to be a star. “He is a new star-in-the- making,” says Sundeep. The film also stars Ranjeet Jha, Willy Manchanda, Priyanka Saha and Cliff Janke.

With lilting and foot tapping musical numbers composed by Dev Chauhan, the film not only boasts of a good cast but a fresh ensemble of talented playback singers that include Raja Hasan Sagar, Ajay Shukla, Deepa Narayan, Pamela Jain, Aditi Paul and Tarannum Mallick who have lent their voices to lyrics by Sanjay Mishra. Ace choreographer Longie Fernandez of "Jai Ho" Slumdog Millionaire fame will be choreographing the title track of the film.
