It’s often said, intelligence is no child’s
play, but when innocent kids put their genius brains to test, the results have
often been spectacular. Something similar was experienced on India’s one stop destination
for Humor- BIG MAGIC’s mini- series Chota Birbal. After a long hunt, the tryst
for the wittiest kid comes to an end. The wise minister, Birbal played by
popular television actor Vishal Kotian crowned television’s most favorite child
artist Harshita Ojha as ‘Chota Birbal’.
This incredible journey that began two weeks
ago with 10 smart kids had reached its finale with four deserving kids.
Competing for the respectful crown of ‘Chota Birbal’, all the finalists went
through grueling riddles, tricky questions and proverbs that not only judged
their wittiness but also their mental tenacity. Battling out the competition,
child artist Harshita Ojha triumphed beating her co-contestants, Arshifa Khan,
Sneh Mirani and Emmanual.
Commenting on her win, child artist Harshita
Ojha said, “It feels good and special on winning the crown of Chota Birbal. The
entire series has been a great learning experience and I have made some really good
friends on the show. For me it’s a moment of pride, as Birbal is known for his
wisdom similarly I can boost about being like him.”
Talking about his journey, Vishal Kotian
said, “Chota birbal has been an amazing experience to host. For me working with
kids has been extremely memorable, I too had my share of learning. It’s amazing
to see such young talent and street smartness in them. Particularly, Harshita
was consistent throughout the series which obviously made her the first choice
for the crown.’’
The episodic ‘Chota Birbal’ has been
conceptualized as an extension to the Historical Comedy ‘Har Mushkil Ka Hal -
Akbar Birbal’. The series began with a small enactment of the almighty Akbar,
who throws a challenge to his witty minister, Birbal to find a kid equivalent
to his intelligence. Resulting out of the challenge, Chota Birbal is a special
series that not only tickled the funny bones of the audience but also put kids’
logic to test. All the contestants on the show were below 9 years of age and in
the finale week; four contestants contested against each other to win the most
respectful title of ‘Chota Birbal’.
