We recently caught up with self-confessed Shah Rukh Khan fan
- Madhu Sneha, an actress, model, DJ, Pantaloons Femina Miss Fashionista 2012
and Kingfisher Calendar finalist. Madhu Sneha who has been shuttling between
the Middle East and Mumbai after completing her film ‘Switch’ also starring
Vikrant Massey (‘Lootera’ fame) and comic Nitin Mirani, had taken Nitin to Kolkata
for him to experience the Slice of Life during Durga Puja. Before she flies off
to Laugh Factory LA Hollywood this October to support Nitin who is competing for
"The Funniest Person in the World", here’s a quick take.
So you took Nitin Mirani to Kolkata for Durga Puja. Where all did you take him?
Along with a dear friend Sourandra Kumar, I took him to Shoba
Bazzar Rajbari which is a must see to know the history and culture the city offers, as well for the 300 year old puja, which is very poignant. Also, it was in this Shobhabazar Rajbari dalan (courtyard) that
Swami Vivekananda was accorded a civic reception after his return from the
Parliament of the World's Religions at Chicago. Nitin also survived the
Kolkata Metro ride which was super adventurous.
Did you still go
pandal hopping? Or life took a turn after a ‘Switch’ with Vikrant Massey?
Thankfully my spirituality has not been affected with all
the good things I have been blessed with this year personally as well as career
wise. Pandal hopping is an experience that I have always cherished from my
childhood and all this hopping actually gives me focus.
Which Pandals did you
go hopping? Did you visit Tutu Sadhan Bose's Durga Puja?
I would have loved to visit Tutu Sadhan Bose's Durga Puja
but this trip was dedicated to spending lots of family time along with visiting
the pandals near north kolkotta.
Apart from Switch,
what other projects are on the anvil?
Lots in store already and hoping to announce a big project
before the end of this year. But another great opportunity has come my way which
would involve me to be flown down Dubai.
Nicole
Rodrigues promised take you global. How do you feel?
Well its mixed feelings indeed but after meeting Nicole who
is a great woman and her energy is contagious and of course knowing that she is
also a Mumbai girl I’m quite sure it would be a rocking collaboration.
And you are keen
to be seen in meaningful films. Soon on the red carpet to
Cannes?
As an actor I am always looking at scripts that help me
unlock my true potential. I am definitely looking at doing projects that will
not only impress the masses but will also touch a chord with the classes.
A message to our
readers
A Bijoya Dashami message to all our readers I would request.
- May the Goddess bring you more peace and power to achieve success and
prosperity and make a difference with your actions. Also with Eid around, I
wish all a very Happy Eid.
