Mrunmayee Deshpande & Abhijeet Khandkekar come together for Mamachya Gavala Jaaoo Yaa

A sheer treat for the fans! Small screen sensation Mrunmayee Deshpande and youth icon Abhijeet Khandkekar are coming together for Sameer Joshi's upcoming Marathi film Mamachya Gavala Jaaoo Yaa. Though Mrunmayee starred in few of the films, she shot to fame with Marathi TV serial ‘Kunku'. While Abhijeet khandkekar was a popular RJ, anchor and did his stint in a Marathi soap.

Sameer Joshi said, "I have seen their respective work and really liked it. They have done an amazing job in Mamachya Gavala Jaaoo Yaa too and it is to be seen. Their chemistry is super cool." However, when we asked the director, if they are romantically paired in the film, he refused to disclose anything. "For that you will have to watch the film," said Joshi.

Mamachya Gavala Jaaoo Yaa is the first independent film produced under the banner of Punkaj Challaani Films.

"After co-producing the Marathi film Dhagedore, I was eager to deliver a fun, and thrilling family entertainment that'd be geared toward kids, young, and old alike. As a firm believer in giving films that entertain and raise social awareness of the audience, the script of Mamachya Gavala Jaaoo Yaa appealed to me, because it explores the themes of human relationships, love, affection, and the sense of belonging. This adventurous journey is shot in a dense jungle, and is a one of kind experiment done in a Marathi film. As a producer and a film lover, I believe that this entertaining story, which is narrated and directed in such an exciting way, will captivate the audience and is sure to entertain them," said producer Punkaj Challaani.

The movie stars Abhijeet Khandkekar, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Shubhankar Atre, Saahil Malge & Arya Bhargude. Written and directed by Sameer Hemant Joshi, produced by Punkaj Challaani & to be released by Pickle Entertainment, Mamachya Gavala Jaaoo Yaa is set to release on 21st November, 2014.
