A bike rally that highlights the achievements of women and draws attentions to women safety
International Women’s Day honours women’s struggles and
achievements throughout history and is celebrated around the world on March
8th. Each year Nav-Bharat Co-Operative Society hosts “Womens Pride Ride” a
rally that highlights the achievements of women as well as draws attention to
the inequality issues women still face today.
This year the Women’s Pride Ride rally is organized by
Nav-Bharat Co-Operative Society in association of Royal Thumps (Royal Enfield
Riders Group) and BURN (Bassein Urban Riders Network).
The ride is organized on Sunday, 8th March, 2015. The ride
will start at 8 am from Gandhi Smarak, Arnala Beach (Virar West) and will head
towards Vasai Fort. The event will be graced by the presence of Mrs. Sulakshana
Naik (Women’s Indian Cricket Team Member) and Ms. Neha Patil (Marathi Movie
Actress).
The rally this year will also witness Harley Davidson Bike
Riders and Superbike Riders who have pledged to support the cause and be
present in large numbers. The organizers’
urge all riders to come in large numbers for the ride and help them spread
awareness to help, respect and protect women.
