He impressed audiences &
critics with his performance in the much-applauded sleeper hit ‘Dum Laga Ke
Haisha’ this year. And Ayushmann Khurana also won over a special audience of
Indian achievers with his natural, extempore act in Dubai; he performed at the
annual conference of ‘Institute of Chartered Accountants of India-UAE Chapter’.
Unassuming and effortless, Ayushmann’s ability to connect with crème de la
crème of the Emirate was appreciated by everyone attending this meet.
A forum where thought leaders
like Anil Kumble, Rajdeep Sardesai, CA Kirit Somaiya, Rajeev Kakkar (banker),
Francis Matthew (Editor at Large, Gulf News), Shekhar Gupta & Barkha Dutt
discussed various relevant issues of Indian politics and elements of India’s
soft power, Ayushmann brought in the element of popular cinema & music with
élan. His participation at the ICAI annual conference once again highlights his
multi faceted persona.
Speaking on his experience,
Ayushmann said, “It was an unusual crowd to perform for; also a set of people
who would appreciate a conversation on an actor’s journey. I enjoy hosting
gatherings like this and thoroughly enjoyed performing before them.”
Speaking extempore on his unusual
journey into Bollywood from a career spanning singing, hosting radio shows
& TV, Ayushmann’s candor and natural wit brought about a pleasant
conclusion to this August gathering. He also sang a few of his hit songs from
films, including ‘Paani Da Rang’ from ‘Vicky Donor’; a final act that
entertained everyone present here.
