Delhi based versatile actor Manoj
Bakshi has been in the news for his splendid performance in the highest grossing
film of the year - Eros International, Salman Khan Films and Rockline
Venkatesh’s “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”. After his
fabulous appearance in Bajrangi, Manoj Bakshi has joined the cast of
“Bhanwarey” to play an important role in the upcoming comic caper being
directed by Shaurya Singh, an actor/ director based in Mumbai.
“Our relation goes a long way
back while both of us were trying to make our mark in the film industry. While
I was writing this character I had no one in mind but him. He is immensely
talented and hugely experienced and bringing him onboard had added creative
value to the film” said Shaurya Singh when asked about how he cast Manoj Bakshi
for the role.
Manoj Bakshi, who has given both
serious and entertaining performances in acclaimed movies such as Do Dooni
Chaar, Delhi 6, Dev D, Miss Lovely, No One Killed Jessica, Pyar ka Punchnama,
Gori Tere Pyaar Main, Filmistan, Besharam, Hate Story and the most recent
Bajrangi Bhaijan, will be seen in a never before avatar in Bhanwarey.
Speaking about this film, Manoj
Bakshi says, “Shaurya called me up for a narration of Bhanwarey and I almost
instantly agreed to do the role as it’s an interesting role plus we are an old
team. This is not the first time we are working together. We did a few short
films in the past and this team has a great sense for creating entertaining and
responsible stuff.”
A dark comedy, Bhanwarey, made
under the banner of “Sudha Creations” has Shaurya Singh, Karan Thakur, Jashan Singh
Kohli in stellar roles. The film is currently wrapping up its last schedule in
Delhi and will be released by the end of this year.
