भोजपुरी फिल्म 'दगाबाज पिरितिया' की फर्स्ट शुटिंग शिड्यूल दिल्ली में समाप्ति के बाद सेकेण्ड शिड्यूल की शूटिंग बिहार के भोजपुर, सन्देश क्षेत्र  में चल रही है।

       भोजपुरी सिनेमा दिन प्रतिदिन अपनी पहचान अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर बनाने में लगी है। भोजपुरी सिनेमा में एक नया कीर्तिमान स्थापित करने के लिए "दगाबाज़ पिरितिया" की शूटिंग जोर शोर से चल रही है जिसमे भोजपुरी परम्परा व लोक संस्कृति को सहजता से प्रस्तुत करने का प्रयास किया गया है।

 दगाबाज पिरितिया, जो उमा मोशन पिक्चर के बैनर तले बन रही है। जिसके निर्देशक हैं संजय ऋतुराज DOP (कैमरा डायरेक्शन) में हैं दिनेश ग्रोवर, फाइट मास्टर व नृत्य निर्देशन में हैं देव तोमर वहीं मुख्य अभिनेता हैं धर्मेंद्र सिंह सुर्या, मुख्य नायिका हैं प्रियंका प्रसाद व अर्चना सिंह, इनके अलावें इस फिल्म के अन्य सहयोगी कलाकार हैं एस एन केसरी, मनोज पण्डित, रविकांत, योगेश सिंह, धनञ्जय, मिना रॉय, लौकांत, कुमार बिंद्रा, बजरंगी, श्वेता दहिया, सिमा इत्यादि हैं।

       आपको बताते चलें कि दगाबाज पिरितिया एक साफ सुथरी और अश्लीलता से कोसों दूर फिल्म है। इस फिल्म के निर्देशक खुद भोजपुरी लोकगीत और फिल्मों अश्लीलता के खिलाफ आवाज बुलंद किये हुए हैं। ऐसे में उनके निर्देशन में बन रही इस फिल्म में अश्लीलता नही होगी यह बात मानी जा सकती है।

         हमारे रिपोर्टर ने जब फिल्म के निर्देशक संजय ऋतुराज से इस फिल्म के कहानी पर बात की तो उन्होने बताया कि यह फिल्म पुरी तरह से पारिवारिक एवं रोमांटिक फिल्म है। इस फिल्म में प्यार में दगाबाजी मिलने पर नायक और नायिका पर क्या गुजरती है तथा समाज के लोग क्या रवैया अपनाते हैं यह दिखाया गया है।पुरी कहानी जानने के लिए दर्शकों को सिनेमा हाॅल में जाना पड़ेगा। यह फिल्म दिल्ली, बिहार, यूपी, के अलावे नैनीताल हिमांचल के विभिन्न लोकेशन पर शुटिंग होगी। इस फिल्म में कुल आठ गाने हैं। जिसको गाया है मोहन राठौड़, आलोक कुमार, इंदू सोनाली, खुशबू जैन वहीं संगीत से सजाया है सचिन कुमावत व लवली शर्मा तथा गीत लिखा है मंटु।

ITM University Gwalior Lake City International Film Festival 2017 happening on March 31st

Come March 31st and all roads will lead to the Heart of India into the City of Forts Gwalior where the ITM University Gwalior 2nd Lake City International Film Festival (LCIFF) 2017 is being held. To be held over two days (March 31st & 1st April) at the sprawling ITM University Gwalior campus and ITM Global School, LCIFF 2017 will be bringing in quality films from across the globe to the people of Gwalior for the first time.

Serving as Madhya Pradesh’s premier and upcoming International level Film Festival, the Lakecity International Film Festival (LCIFF) 2017 was founded to showcase Madhya Pradesh as a shooting destination in film making, and aims to exhibit the most captivating and innovative content. Though film festivals have become a regular affair in most countries yet most of them cater only to selected audience as well as entertain the commercially successful film makers and related personalities. However, LCIFF aims to connect the film fans and movies goers with the world, so as to bring about greater understanding of the art of film making.

Supported by ITM University Gwalior and ITM Global School, Hon’ble minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomarji has graciously consented to inaugurate the festival. Breaking all stereotypes, LCIFF's mission is to present quality films from around the world as well as support, recognize and honor indie film makers. With more than 180 films making it to the festival, the best of these films will be showcased here. BAFTA awarded Best Director Film Mantostaan that has travelled to various International Film Festivals across the globe will open the film alongside Ab To Pati Khol Do - A film on Swatch Bharat theme.

Sadhana Jejurikar lends her magical voice for Hariharan’s latest track Haule Haule

Maverick singer-composer Hariharan has come up with his latest love track Haule Haule. The song is presented by T-Series and has been sung by singer Sadhana Jejurikar. Featuring models Niiya Kumar and Nitish Kapoor, Haule Haule is a breezy romantic song which highlights the mystic element in a romantic relationship.

The music video was launched in Andheri and a special preview was held for the gathered media. Making of the song was also screened at the launch event. Singer-composer Hariharan was present at the launch event. Akshay Hariharan has worked on the arrangements of the track while Sahil Sultanpuri is the lyricist of the song. The music video is directed by Vivek Gupte.

Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Ghazal singer Penaz Masani and well-known Marathi actor Ramesh Bhatkar too attended the event.

A Ghazal singer by profession, Sadhana Jejurikar has achieved many milestones in her career. The latest being the well-loved album - Duaa (along with Maestro Ghulam Ali Khan). She is also a co-author of a biographical book 'Ghazal Wizard - Ghulam Ali' released by Times Publication. Sadhana has been singing in the Ghazal genre for AIR, Indore since 1992. Sadhana also participated in the musical reality show, Sa Re Ga Ma during the year 1996. She has performed on stage nationally and internationally along with various artists.

Sadhana has twice won the Madhya Pradesh Government's Lata Mangeshkar District Award and has been singing with All India Radio since 1994. In 2014, she was also bestowed with the Vikram Award in her home town. She has performed all over India and abroad with many artistes. She has also sung for a few films & music albums in various languages.

“Sandhya - An Awakening” wins Best Film & Best Story award at 4th DIFF 2017

It seemed to be the perfect evening (29th January 2017) for team Sandhya - An Awakening at Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga where the 4th edition of the Darbhanga International Film Festival 2017 was being held. The short fiction directed by Mohan Das was not only adjudged the Best Film in the shorts category, but it went to bag the Best Story award too. While Sumit Bansala, the producer of the film went on stage to receive the Best Film award, Mohan Das took a bow for the Best Story along with his producer.

“It’s a great feeling to have won not one but two awards - Best Film and Best Story for the very first production under our banner Sumit Uday Films. Though I was pretty sure that the film would fetch us awards, still I was keeping my fingers crossed. I am grateful to the jury of DIFF for the awards,” said Sumit Bansala. “I still remember the first time I had heard the story of Sandhya and I had decided then itself that I would be doing the film. The story is jointly written by Suren Kakkar and Mohan Das (who also directed the film) and focuses the status of women in a patriarchal village society. It also bears resemblance to real-life instances of gender imbalance and economics, fraternal polyandry, bride buying and rape in remote parts of rural India.”

Director Mohan Das who is also credited with the Best Story award says, "It will come across as a shocker to those traditional Indian audiences who have grown up on the staple diet of sugar-coated romances and feel-good cinema. You ought to have a strong stomach to absorb a film like Sandhya. With this film, we wanted to examine the emotional and psychological impact of a girl in a village society where in the garb of rituals and traditions, fraternal polyandry is a norm with the social pillars even supporting it.”

Sumit Bansala says that Sandhya is an awaited treat in store for all those who love cinema for a cause. “While Indian weddings are a beautiful, soulful affair, filled with ancient traditions and rituals which claim to bond the husband and wife, there are still some traditions that are dated. Keeping up with the times, such wedding traditions and cultures should be done away with as some of these sexist traditions may scar a girl’s mind for life. By showcasing the cause of worry of such sexist traditions, the film will be an inspirational story of how a single girl fights against such societal norms to get herself justice,” added Sumit.

The film have been shot at real time locations in Meerut, Mawana, Nangla Jamalpur, Deobandh and other parts of western Uttar Pradesh. Though this story is fictional, it is based on many of the incidents reported in main stream media. Also the central plot of the film is in sync with the recently enforced “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” movement.

Mohan Das adds: “To jolt one out of his or her senses, Sandhya is going to make one think as there is nothing intrinsic linking any religion with any act of violence. Evoking a wide variety of emotions - anger, rage, antipathy, disgust, abhorrence, revulsion as well as anxiety, Sandhya is also an eye opener to those who are willing to fight the system and ban the practice. Her exemplary courage can be a pointer that could change girls' lives in such a polyandry and bride buying society.

Sandhya - An Awakening stars Anurag Tomar (Prince), Suren Kakkar, Sumit Bansala, Siddhant Somal, Gourav Chaudhary, Kaavya Kaushik, Anita Pundir, Alpana Mathur, Sandeep, Bittle Rastogi, Suman Somal and Kaushiki Rathore. Mallika Sherawat has been busy with Hollywood projects but now there's a Bollywood film which has excited her. Director Saandesh B. Nayak's Zeenat is all set to be her first Hindi film this year. A social drama, Zeenat focuses on relationships.  Saandesh B. Nayak confirms signing Mallika Sherawat and said, "She is extremely co-operative and is super excited about the project."

Mallika Sherawat added, "I feel that the script of Zeenat is a subject which is almost in the space of work that I am associated for a while now. As an actor, I was looking for a subject like this. It's fortunate that this is an absolutely commercial Hindi film which helps a message to be conveyed to a larger section of society. I am thrilled and looking forward to this role  and working in the film. I have never played something like this before."

Zeenat will go on floors soon. The film is a multi-starrer and the other actors will be revealed soon. Zeenat is being directed by Saandesh B Nayak and produced by Isha Nayak under the banner of Saanvi Nayak Films.

Sandesh Gour gets Critics Award for Acting for his debut film

Sandesh Gour who was last seen in the Bollywood romantic movie Meeradha in the lead is on cloud 9 these days. The reason is his debut movie Meeradha got him the Critics Award for Acting in National Category at the recently concluded Darbhanga International Film Festival 2017. This good news comes out of the blue as he was least expecting to win the same and that too in his debut film.

Speaking to media from his hometown Nagpur where he has gone to meet his family, he says: “I am really happy and super excited as this is my first ever award for acting. Though in the earlier past my short fiction Muafinaama (directed by Mohan Das under the banner of Eon Films) did win not one but two Best Films awards (I was playing the lead in the same), I did not win any awards to my credit. But this gets me my due and that too in the National Category for a feature film. What else can I ask for?”

Though Sandesh wasn’t there to receive the award personally, the same will reach him in a few days, he said. “The Award will reach me in a few days and I’m waiting for it. Though I'm super excited but I feel sad too, because I couldn’t attend the award ceremony due to my prior commitments and shooting schedule.”

Sandesh who is working in the Film and television industry from last 5 years has few films that will be released in 2017, in which he has acted in lead and parallel lead. He is happy that his passion, hard work and dedication towards his acting has started paying him dividends. He thanks his parents for their ever supportive and encouraging nature that has helped him pursue his dreams of making his mark in the entertainment world. Bigg Boss 10 re-enters TRP ratings at No.20

Though we never see the face of the Boss and only hear his voice, what has happened this week could be termed as a kind of 'face-saving' for Bigg Boss. After a hiatus, Bigg Boss 10 re-entered the TRP rating charts at No.20 on BARC (Broadcast Audience Research Council, India) ratings for what it terms as Week 52.

Yes! Just imagine... the Salman Khan-hosted show is still being beaten in viewership ratings by 19 other TV programmes. *facepalm* Thought it might have been quite a relief for the show which is said to be going through one of its worst-watched seasons.

Bollywood PR guru Dale Bhagwagar who has handled the media for a full 20 contestants of Bigg Boss during the first nine seasons, feels that these are just temporary ups and downs. "Aaj nahin toh kal, the show will bounce back to the top," he says with optimism.

Dale interacted with a few celebrity contestants of Bigg Boss 10 before they entered the show, but did not take up any current participant for PR activity. "I was just not kicked about them this year," says the public relations specialist.

"I can take on nasty people for PR. I can take on the best of drama queens and desperados. I can even take on weirdos and problem-childs. But I can't tolerate foulmouths who are in the habit of expletives. I don't think that's our culture, so those types are below my dignity," he explains.

This is also the reason the publicist gives, why he is not watching BB10 after handling the publicity for some of the most controversial names like Rakhi Sawant, Sambhavna Seth, Vindu Dara Singh, Rahul Mahajan, Ashmit Patel, Sherlyn Chopra, Sonali Raut, Amar Upadhyay, Pooja Misrra, Aarya Babbar, Aman Verma and Mandana Karimi through the earlier seasons.

Aamir Khan’s 'rockstar' cousin releases R.D.BurMania

Amid thunderous applause, reigning megastar Aamir Khan’s first cousin Tariq Khan, who was tagged the 'dancing rockstar' of the '70s, released the current edition of the popular book R.D.BurMania, authored by senior award-winning journalist Chaitanya Padukone from Mumbai.

The release took place in Pune at a grand musical event convened by PanchamMagic Group; a popular R.D. fans association, to mark the 23rd death anniversary of the celebrated Bollywood composer R.D.Burman; an all-time great the Indian music industry has ever produced.

Author Mohit Goyal recently launched his fiction "Colourful Notions: The Roadtrippers 1.0". Mohit Goyal was born on 29th September 1983. Being born to a household of people who had a lot of resources, his many desires ingrained hunger in him to achieve something different in life. Fortunately, the love he found (pretty early, must be 15 or 16) was for books and a penchant for writing. Basically as a teenager, he concluded that writing was a non-existent career option, not one where you can churn money. He kept writing nevertheless, albeit in form of some short stories here and there or an odd article. After finishing Bachelors in Business, he ventured out on his own than doing a job (born to an entrepreneur father) and he thinks that he has done pretty well in it. Within a few years, Mohit got a chance to run his international logistics business in several Asian countries and collaborated with some of the best minds of trade. But love was still not there. It is said that you can't fake it.

Somewhere in between; Mohit fell for the missus, got married and became a father too. Perhaps it deserves a book in itself (fatherhood! And how men face its undocumented brunt!) In 2015, he finally took the plunge of typing out his first book. He’d say typing it out, because the stories were always there (in his mind). It required a crafty effort to bring them out in a way that it entertained and inspired readers.

In the middle of it, he realized that the genre is eternal. Travel is a synonym of life, and as reflective of its ups and downs as anything could be! A contemporary who-dunnit, with a splash of supernatural, set in a college campus somewhere in India (a la Indian Institute Of Technology) where a few mysterious deaths occur and the only common link between the victims is that, seconds before their deaths, they all accepted a 'Facebook friend request' from a certain profile page of Mona_Darling. The person behind the said page, Mona happens to be missing. Her friend, and a fellow student, Sarah recruits the help of a classmate, Wiki – a borderline sociopathic genius. Jackky Bhagnani and Aditya Thackeray to promote KASRAT

Jackky Bhagnani has joined hands with the BMC ​and launch​ed​ KASRAT - a unique exercise program to promote fitness among children in BMC schools.

KASRAT, a thirty-minute freehand fitness routine is meant to enhance the current physical training curriculum being followed by municipal schools and is aimed at children in the age group of 13 -16 years (class 8th to class 10th) to help their overall growth and development.

The unique program has been designed keeping in mind the lack of access to proper exercise facilities,poor nutrition and the lack of knowledge about health among under privileged children, according to Jackky Bhagnani. The social initiative by the actor comes at a time when children are found spending more time on electronic gadgets like their mobile phones rather than outdoor sporting activity.
