Diwali, the festival of lights was celebrated by Viviana Mall in a special way. This year, more than 100 homes in tribal villages of Paradhwadi and Mohwadi were benefited by their campaign, #GiftOfLight. As a part of the campaign, Viviana Mall distributed solar lamps, bringing smiles, cheers and lights in the lives of the villagers.
The villages situated in Murbad, approximately 90 km away from Mumbai face perennial electricity troubles at times. With irregular electricity supply, lack of skilled wireman and unfavourable climatic conditions the villagers live in darkness for days. Taking cognizance of the situation at the village, Viviana Mall initiated its #GiftOfLight campaign and distributed the solar-lamps that are capable of providing light for more than 20 hours when fully charged.
On the occasion, Ms Rima Pradhan, Sr VP Marketing, Viviana Mall said, “At Viviana, we believe our responsibility does not cease at just providing superior quality shopping experiences, it extends to contributing towards the society in a meaningful way. It is our constant endeavour to develop innovative solutions that help us drive environmental conservation. We persistently work on various causes to draw attention to the hardships faced by people and #GiftOfLight is our effort to bring joy and light to the people of Paradhwadi and Mohwadi, and make this festive season special for them. "
