Teaser of Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani likely to be out on June 20

As the release date of Karan Johar's directorial Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani nears, there's some exciting news about its teaser and trailer launch dates. The romcom starring stars Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi and Jaya Bachchan in key roles will release on July 28. The teaser is expected to drop over a month before the film's release.

While the teaser is likely to be out on June 20, the trailer will be released in July, according to sources.

As per a report by Pinkvilla, the length of the teaser is 1 minute 16 seconds. While we've already seen the colourful character posters of Ranveer's Rocky and Alia's Rani, along with their characters' respective family portraits, the teaser will further set the tone of the family comedy.

With Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani Karan reunites not just with Alia, who made her Bollywood debut in Student of the Year, but also with Jaya Bachchan, who appeared in Kabhi Kushi Kabhie Gham. For the vivid costumes and majestic songs of the film, he also partnered with long-time friends Manish Malhotra for costumes and Farah Khan for choreography.

Rocky Aur Rani is Karan's seventh directorial, following Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Student of the Year and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. It might be interesting to note that his directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai will complete 25 years on October 16, this year. The promotional campaign for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani started on May 25, Karan's 51st birthday.
