On Suriya's 48th birthday, the makers of the much-awaited Tamil film
Kanguva dropped the teaser on Saregama Tamil's official YouTube channel today. Suriya's
fierce and captivating presence in the first glimpse of the 'Kanguva' teaser has
not only left the audience mesmerised with its breath-taking visuals, but has
garnered an overwhelming response from all directions.
To be released in 3D in 10 different languages, Kanguva teaser has been
released in six languages including Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, English,
and Hindi. Crafting a spectacular world featuring rustic action scenes and
awe-inspiring grandeur within the film, the glimpse opens with a powerful
dialogue that showcases Suriya's portrayal as a mighty warrior. It shows Suriya
in a wild warrior avatar with long hair and a rugged look surrounded by dead
bodies, a horse, and his army. As the teaser progresses, Suriya can be seen
killing a person with an arrow. He runs through a dark forest with an iron mask
that hides his face in the beginning. Further, he can be seen roaring while
multiple arrows are shot at him. The teaser ends with Suriya looking at the
camera and asking the question, "All Well?" which leaves the audience
intrigued.
With a staggering budget of ₹350 crore, Kanguva stands as the fifth
most expensive Indian film ever made. A big-budget film, Suriya's captivating
looks and remarkable screen presence in the teaser leaves a lasting impression.
Featuring in five distinct roles, his portrayal of the warrior character is
simply stupendous. Leading an ensemble cast including Disha Patani, Yogi Babu, Ravi
Raghavendra, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, K. S. Ravikumar, Anandaraj, and B.
S. Avinash; ‘Kanguva’ is written by Adi Narayana and is being produced by K. E.
Gnanavel Raja, V. Vamsi Krishna Reddy, and Pramod Uppalapati under the banners
of Studio Green and UV Creations. The background score, composed by Devi Sri
Prasad, adds to the intensity, sending shivers down the spines of the viewers.
Directed by Siva, the shooting of the period action drama Kanguva has been wrapped up, and is now in post-production. Fans can anticipate its theatrical release in early 2024, in both 2D and 3D formats.
