Choona / Netflix
A corrupt politician named Shukla (Jimmy Sheirgill) faces his worst nightmare as a group of misfits he has wronged come together to exact revenge. They aim to use his superstitious nature to manipulate his actions and plan a heist to steal crores of rupees from him. Unfortunately, things don’t go exactly to plan as their foe is no ordinary crook. The show also stars Vikram Kochhar, Aashim Gulati, Namit Das, Chandan Roy and Arshad Warsi among others.

Fatafati / Sony LIV
Fatafati is a Bengali language fun family drama movie directed by Aritra Mukherjee. The narrative follows the journey of Phullora Bhaduri, portrayed by Ritabhari Chakraborty. She lives in the suburbs and works as a tailor, who is popular for her beautifully designed clothes. Her husband Bachaspati Bhaduri, played by Abir Chatterjee, is quite supportive of her dreams and they live happily together until Phulllora decides to walk the ramp. Since she is on the heavier side, she faces immense criticism and is ridiculed by everyone around her. However, Phullora believes that fashion is about celebrating oneself and not about being chubby or skinny. Will she be able to overcome the odds?

Guardians of the Galaxy (Vol. 3) / Disney Plus Hotstar
The Guardians are back for another deadly mission in the immensely popular adventurous action-comedy movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3. Directed by James Gunn, the superhero movie shows how the marvellous team tries to save the universe and their teammate Rocket Racoon. Although Peter Quill is still devastated by the loss of his friend Gamora, he pulls himself together to embark on this deadly mission to fulfil his duty. This mission puts the space defenders in a life-threatening situation as it’s not easy to stop an intergalactic megalomaniac High Evolutionary, who wishes to establish an ideal society called Counter-Earth. Will the Guardians be able to accomplish this life-and-death mission?

Dhoomam / Amazon Prime Video
From the makers of K.G.F and Kantara comes yet another adventure action-drama movie Dhoomam, which is directed and written by Pawan Kumar. This Malayalam-language movie is headlined by Fahadh Faasil, Roshan Mathew, and Aparna Balamurali, along with Vineeth, Achyuth Kumar, Dharmanna Kadur, and others. Fahadh Faasil essays the character of Avinash – the marketing head of a major tobacco firm, who is unhappy in his current job and wishes to quit it, but doing so isn’t easy. He comes across many challenging events that add to the suspense and drama of this edge-of-the-seat thriller film.

The Hunt for Veerappan / Netflix
This biographical crime documentary series centred around the dreaded poacher Veerappan directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, chronicles the 17-year manhunt for Koose Munisamy Veerappan, the notorious poacher and bandit. Known for kidnapping politicians for ransom, murdering 184 people, poaching elephants and smuggling sandalwood and ivory, there has never been a criminal like him who held two states to ransom and captured the majority of the jungles of South India. Despite continuous efforts by the government for years, the forest brigand had managed to run scot-free every time. Finally, the 20-year-long manhunt came to an end when the special task force killed the bandit king in 2004 in Operation Cocoon. Although he was a poacher, he came to be known as the Robinhood of India, but how? Watch the docuseries directed by Selvamani Selvaraj to find out.

Pareshan / Sony LIV
Rana Daggubati presents Pareshan – a Telugu language comedy drama movie written and directed by Rupak Ronaldson. This quirky movie features Thiruveer, Pavani Karanam, Bunny Abhiran, Sai Prasanna, Arjun Krishna, Buddera Khan, Ravi and Raju Bedigala in lead roles. The movie is set in Singareni, where a bunch of happy-go-lucky friends face the music. Each one of these friends is pareshan (worried/troubled) because of the problems in their respective lives, be it because of friends, family members or love interests. But, one of them is immensely pareshan as his other friends aren’t returning the money they owe him, and his girlfriend is also pregnant before marriage. How will he tackle all these challenges?

Dayaa / Disney Plus Hotstar
Dayaa is a Telugu-language murder mystery drama series directed by Pavan Sadineni. This series is a remake of a Bengali language series titled Taqdeer, which revolves around a murder mystery. Dayaa marks the OTT debut of the versatile actor JD Chakravarthy, who essays the titular role of a freezer van driver. Ever since he found the corpse of the missing journalist Kavitha Naidu (played by Ramya Nambeesan) in his van, Dayaa has faced tumultuous events in his life. The challenges only keep increasing as he tries to come up with solutions to get out of the whole mess. Will Dayaa manage to escape from this problematic situation?

Erumbu / Amazon Prime Video
Erumbu is a Tamil language feel-good family drama movie written and directed by Suresh G. The film is headlined by Shakthi Rithvik as Muthu and Monica Siva as Pachamma. Muthu is a fun-loving kid who shows off the one-gram gold ring to his friends that his father had bought but loses it later. He gets terrified and vows to find it before his parents find out. Muthu seeks help from his elder sister Pachamma who initially gives him an earful but later agrees to find the ring. They also rope in an elderly friend Chittu, played by George Maryan, in their quest for the ring. Will the trio manage to get it back before the family returns?

The Lincoln Lawyer (Season 2 Part 2) / Netflix
The iconoclastic idealist defence attorney Mickey Haller (played by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) is back with the second part of the legal drama series. The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2 Part 2 picks up immediately after the cliff-hanger of Part 1 of Season 2 when Mickey was rushed to the hospital after being assaulted. Despite all odds, Mickey is still looking forward to a favourable verdict for his client Lisa Trammel (played by Lana Parilla), who has been accused of murdering the LA mogul. Watch if the hottest defence attorney wins the case again in Season 2, which is based on the fourth book in Michael Connelly’s best-selling novel series The Lincoln Lawyer.

The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart / Amazon Prime Video
Set in Australia, The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart is a seven-part drama series based on the novel by Australian author Holly Ringland and narrates the story of nine-year-old Alice, who tragically loses her parents in a mysterious fire. Helmed by Glendyn Ivin, the mini-series follows the life of Alice Hart right from her childhood to adulthood. After losing both her parents in a tragic fire, she moves to Thornfield flower farm to live with her grandmother, June. Soon, Alice learns deeply buried secrets about her family as she grows into a young woman processing her complicated history that change the course of her life.

Fatal Seduction (Vol. 2) / Netflix
This South African erotic sex-filled thriller Fatal Seduction follows university professor Nandi Mahlati, who believes her husband Leonard is having an affair. She goes on a weekend trip away from home and begins an intense physical relationship with a younger man named Jacob. However, her world starts to crumble when this woman’s extra-marital affair results in a wild whodunnit after her best friend, Brenda, is murdered, and her husband and lover both become suspects. With a new twist in place, Nandi must find her friend’s true killer and untangle this mystery. While Volume 1 revealed Jacob’s true identity, but he claimed he wasn’t responsible for Brenda’s death; in this second the viewers will finally learn how all of these people’s lies and deceptions will play out and the murderer exposed.
