Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 is unstoppable: Towering above all

Sunny Deol’s magic has taken over the box office, after shattering records on the first day itself, the film has raked in Rs 43.08 crores net on Day 2 of its release. The film's unwavering strength is evident as it maintains a rock-solid hold, defying no customary drop in mass belts. The box office has become a battleground for this cinematic juggernaut, obliterating expectations and surging ahead like a true rampage. These remarkable numbers, typically reserved for solo releases, propel Gadar 2 towards the second-fastest Rs 100 crores club for 2023, with a net of Rs 83.18 crores already achieved. 

A true testament to its extraordinary performance, Gadar 2 continues to rewrite the rules of success in the entertainment industry and creating history once again. It is just not liked by the audiences, but event Bollywood has given a big thumbs up to the film. Superstar Salman Khan tweeted “Dhai kilo ka haath equals Chalis Crore.” Maverick director Subhash Ghai took to twitter to jovially mention, “If u want to watch the exploding passion of mass commercial cinema, the director and actors, GO N WATCH #GADAR2. A big big-blockbuster. Who says Hindi cinema has changed? Masses n classes clapping together.”

Madhur Bhandarkar tweeted: “Just saw film #Gadar2 at Friday's first show in my favourite theatre #Gaiety Bandra packed show. Whistling, clapping, shouting, complete mass entertainer, the theatre turned into a stadium, overflowing with emotions and heart in the right place. Congratulations to the #Gadar2 Team. Film analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: “#SunnyDeol unleashes his power… All pre-release calculations / estimations go for a toss… #Gadar2 RUNS RIOT at the #BO, is SENSATIONAL on Day 1… FLYING START all over… SECOND HIGHEST OPENER OF 2023… Fri ₹ 40.10 cr. #India biz. Mass sectors and single screens are on a record-smashing spree… Unlike *most* films - which have major contribution from the national chains [#PVR, #INOX, #Cinepolis] and barely 20% to 30% from mass sectors - #Gadar2 is simply historic in mass pockets. Same goes with others as they publicly announced their verdict. “‘Gadar 2’ is not a film, it’s a celebration, an emotion that touches the heart of every Indian. No wonder it’s ruling the box-office like no film has ruled after ‘Pathaan’ this year! Its opening is HISTORIC at many places! Await my detailed review. But if you may, watch the film even before that!” Another tweet says “#Gadar2 is not just an ordinary movie. It's a moment of celebration for Indians. It's an emotion. Never ever will you see such energy, celebration and enthusiasm in the general audience again. Go and witness the mega film in the biggest possible theatre.”

Helmed by Director-Producer Anil Sharma, and produced by Zee Studios, the movie stars Superstar Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in lead roles. The movie is running in cinemas from 11th August 2023.
