talent, Priyanka Bajaj Sibal, the Bollywood debutante made her debut at the
77th Cannes Film Festival and won hearts with her gesture on the red carpet. Featuring
in the short film Kathakaar alongside Ruslaan Mumtaz, the first look of Jai
Guruji Productions debut was unveiled at the film festival.
Renowned as a grand celebration of global
cinema, Priyanka Bajaj Sibal's appearance at the Cannes Film Festival has been
truly remarkable! Her background as a two-time winner as Mrs India brought an
extra touch of poise and confidence to her red-carpet presence. And
representing not just Bollywood but also bringing the flair from Doha where she
is based, this New Delhi bred actor adds an interesting international dimension
to her debut.
Priyanka's journey to Cannes has been
remarkable, making heads turn with every outfit. Starting as a chartered
accountant, she later moved to the Middle East after marriage. It was during
this time that she ventured into beauty pageants, winning the titles of Mrs.
India 2021 and Mrs. Queen of the World in October 2022.
Sharing her excitement on social media,
Priyanka expressed her thrill at making her Cannes debut, calling it a surreal
experience. She was also thrilled as Bollywood Actor Deepak Tijori unveiled the
first look of her short film “Kathakaar” produced by Siddharth Sibal and directed
by Anshuman Chaturvedii. The film’s first look was unveiled at the India’s
Bharat Pavillion at 77th Cannes Film Festival.
The film she was promoting, Kathakaar,
tells the story of a female inspector's quest to solve a case of child
trafficking. Priyanka's character, the lead inspector, navigates the
complexities of the case alongside her colleague, played by Ruslaan Mumtaz. The
film explores the theme of women empowerment, showcasing the lead character's
resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
