Actor Varun Dhawan and his wife Natasha
Dalal have become parents to a baby girl. Last night around 11 pm, Varun Dhawan
and his father appeared outside Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital where Natasha Dalal
delivered a baby girl. As Varun's father, filmmaker David Dhawan made his way
out, he shared the happy news with the paparazzi outside the hospital.
The 37-year-old actor shared the news on
Instagram, posting an animated video which stated that the baby was born on
Monday. “Our baby girl is here. Thank u for all the good wishes for the mama
and the baby,” Dhawan wrote in the caption.
Earlier on Monday, Varun Dhawan was seen
at the hospital with a maternity bag as reports of Natasha going into labour
did the rounds. One of Bollywood's most beloved couples, Varun Dhawan and his
wife Natasha Dalal announced their pregnancy back in February. The actor had
shared a snap featuring his wife and wrote, “We are pregnant. Need all your
blessings and love. #myfamilymystrength (sic).”
On the work front, Dhawan is
all set to be seen in the action thriller ‘Baby John’ directed by A Kaleeswaran
and produced by ‘Jawan’ director Atlee. ‘Baby John’ is rumoured to be a remake
of the 2016 Tamil blockbuster ‘Theri’. Starring Wamiqa Gabi, Sanya Malhotra,
and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles, ‘Baby John’ also marks South Indian
superstar Keerthy Suresh’s Bollywood debut. The movie was originally meant to
hit the theatres on 31st May this year but has been postponed.
Dhawan is also set to star in the Indian version of the Hollywood series ‘Citadel’ alongside actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The original series featured Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden in lead roles. The adaptation will be directed by Raj & DK. He also has Shashank Khaitan’s romantic comedy ‘Sunny Sanskari ki Tulsi Kumari’ with his ‘Bawaal’ co-star Janhvi Kapoor.
