Kreative Krew hosts exclusive premiere of ‘The Ride’ ahead of its official release

Kreative Krew held an exclusive premiere event on March 2nd for their much-anticipated short film, The Ride, ahead of its official release on March 5th on Kreative Krew’s YouTube channel.

A Thought-Provoking Journey, The Ride is a gripping 18-minute short film that takes viewers on an emotional rollercoaster through the lens of Raghav, a silent and detached bike taxi driver who encounters four passengers over the course of a single day. Each ride reveals a new layer of human emotion—stress, heartbreak, hope, and arrogance—leading to an unexpected and shocking climax. The film masterfully explores the weight of everyday interactions and the breaking point of silence.

The private screening brought together the film’s cast, crew, and close industry associates, offering them a first look at the final cut before its global online release. The event featured behind-the-scenes stories, interactive discussions with the creative team, and an engaging Q&A session with the director.

The premiere event, hosted at a private venue, was attended by the film’s cast and crew, including: Ashwin Alok (Director), Piyush Matta (Actor), Ashi Goel (Actress), Durgesh Maurya (Lead Character), Ayush Anand, Deepak Pandey & Abhishek Chaudhary. Speaking about the premiere, director Ashwin Alok shared: “The Ride is not just a film—it’s an experience. We wanted the cast and crew to witness it first before sharing it with the world. Every passenger in the film represents a piece of life, and the journey they take with Raghav is one we all unknowingly take every day.”

The film’s impact was evident in the reactions of the attendees. Ashi Goel remarked, “I didn’t anticipate the climax until it happened. The film has turned out to be so much better than what I expected.” Piyush Matta praised the film’s gripping nature, stating, “The film holds your attention from start to finish. You don’t get distracted—not even for a second. Truly a masterpiece.”

Lead actor Durgesh Maurya, who plays the bike taxi driver, shared his excitement about the project: “I’ve previously worked with Ashwin before, but this opportunity was special. I truly enjoyed being in the limelight throughout the film. I’m grateful for such an honor and hope this wins over the audience.”

Reflecting on the journey of making ‘The Ride,’ Director Ashwin Alok stated, “As a director, it’s hard to praise your own work because you’re always aware of the loopholes. But considering the challenges we faced, including shooting delays and production issues over three months, the film turned out exceptionally well. We invested a total of 100 hours to bring this vision to life, and this could be the breakthrough we’ve been striving for at Kreative Krew.”

‘The Ride’ promises a thought-provoking narrative that leaves viewers questioning the choices people make under the weight of their emotions. The film will officially release on March 5, 2025, on Kreative Krew’s YouTube channel.
